Week 8

This week Room 3 are going to the Early Settlers Museum and the Chinese Gardens, on the 1st of April. We also had parent interviews.

Week 7

This week Room 3 has parent interviews. There were interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday. A parent interview is when the parent of their child goes to their class and talks to their teacher about what they have been doing since the start of the year and what stage they are at in their reading, writing, maths and spelling.
Other exciting news is that I play Futsal for Balmac Blue and we won our first game on Tuesday the 15th of March!

Week 7

Week 7 already!
We have had a busy time with camp, swimming and swimming sports. I am excited to have a whole week in my class teaching. I am pleased with how Room 3 is working at the moment. Everyone is working well in their Reading and Maths groups, with lots of discussion. I have been also enjoying the camp recounts and am looking forward to having them published and displayed with the rest of our camp display.

Week 7

On the 2nd of March Room 3 and Room 24 had an wonderful camp. Everyone enjoyed the tramp. The point of going to camp is having fun and getting to know each other. We did a lot of fun activities. I really enjoyed the camp with my friends.

Week 7

This week has been exhausting but very exciting! Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Room 3 has been trying to get back into the school work like Reading, Maths etc, from our 3 day camp the week before. But for Friday the WHOLE school went to Moana Pool for swimming sports! It was a very fun day. After swimming the school returned to Balmacewen to find out our results. Chapman won! With 750 points.
And that's an end to our fun week.

Week 6

The week following camp week! We had an awesome time on camp and what a great way to get to know each other. Lots of great activities and lots of laughter and fun. Today I will add some of the many photos from camp but over the next couple of posts, I will also add some of the writing and thoughts from our camp experience.

Week 3

On Friday the Year 8's organised a powhiri to welcome the Year 7's to Balmacewen School. It was fun when we got welcomed in the waiata but the hongi was very awkward!
